The 143 visa is a Contributory Parent visa, issued by the Australian government. This visa allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live permanently in Australia.
This type of visa, known as a “Contributory” visa, is permanent. This is due to the $4,225 first-time applicant application fee and the $1,425 spouse application fee. The second installment for every application, however, is $43,600. The processing time for this visa is approximately 5.7 years, and if approved, it becomes permanent.
