Maria is probably the most prominent women in motorcycle road racing and the only female to have been awarded an MBE. She has achieved unrivalled success in a high risk world and continues to be unstoppable in her quest to set records and set herself apart from the rest. ...Hailing from Northampton Maria is dare devil through and through! Her thrill seeking has been a huge factor in her success and her sheer detemination has been ultimate key in her becoming so dominant in the motorcycle world. Although starting on short circuits, Maria has now become synonymous with road racing and in particular the Isle of Man TT races. She has raced all around the globe and continues to do so, and it was in her 23rd year of racing she decided to add a new discipline, sidecar racing and went on to make yet more history by becoming the first woman to race both a solo and a sidecar at the TT in 2019. She has always shown remarkable resilience and determination, not just challenging gender stereotyping in the male dominated world of motorcycle racing but breaking down boundaries for other women to follow in her path. She has been an Ambassador for BMW Motorrad UK and fronted their nationwide initiative supporting women riders. Maria is a former IAM Ambassador, member of the Federation Internationale de Motorcyclist (FIM) Women in Motorcycling Commission, a mentor for the young riders competing in the European Junior Cup and is currently an Ambassador  for ‘Girls on Track’ and initiative set up by Susie Wolff to support & drive female talent.
